Scanning Initiative

The university scanning initiative for Social Security Numbers (SSNs) and Credit Card Numbers (CCNs) continues in the college to help users locate and remove any SSNs or CCNs that may be inadvertently stored on their computers. Scanning software is installed on the user's computer and users are then asked to review the resulting scan report for SSNs or CCNs. Users will be instructed on how to either delete the files or the SSN or CCN data.Your unit leader or County Extension Director will notify you when your unit is scheduled.
